SLURP offers in co-operation with artisan roasters delicious and sustainably produced specialty coffees.

2. What options can I choose when customising myself a SLURP coffee experience?

The SLURP coffee experience offers you a chance to discover Third Wave coffees according to your personal preferences with regular deliveries and always new experiences. All the coffees are roasted from top roasters in Germany and around the globe.You get to choose:
  1. The flavour profile (light, medium, dark, midnight)
  2. Whether you want beans or ground for your brewing method
  3. The brewing method that you'd like the coffee for
  4. The right amount of coffee for you
  5. For the shipping interval you can choose 2 or 4 weeks

The coffees are delivered straight to your home in our unique and specially designed packaging that fits through your mailslot.

3. What coffees do you send to SLURP coffee experience subscribers? Do the coffees change?

Where do the coffees come from?

Artisan roasters choose the most interesting and high quality coffees from around the world. These coffees are typically from the latest harvests, which ensures also the freshness of the unroasted (green) beans.

Green beans from the best farmers are roasted to perfection in the hands of the artisan roaster, and delivered when the taste is optimal.

What coffees will I receive in SLURP coffee experience?

With a SLURP coffee experience subscription each shipment will contain a new, interesting and definitely delicious coffee from one of our artisan roaster partners directly to your home. Each coffee comes always from a different roaster. We make sure that the coffees chosen for you are ones that you'll definitely like.

How do the choices I make on the site affect my subscription?

For example, if you choose the flavour profile SLURP light, take the pre-ground option and filter coffee as your brewing method, you would receive light roasted coffees perfectly ground for filter brewing methods.

If you select SLURP medium as the flavour profile, beans and espresso as the brewing method and you would receive medium espresso optimised roasts as beans.

You may choose from the following flavour profiles depending on service:

  • SLURP Decaf
  • SLURP rare

In short, we choose the most interesting and delicious coffees for each shipment. You will receive a new experience with every delivery straight to your home! Exciting!

4. Can I modify my SLURP coffee experience later?

You can edit your order size and the delivery interval at any time in your account. Please make sure that your subscription is active before you make the edits.

If you wish to make further changes to your subscription, please send our customer service a message. We will be glad to help you the best way possible! 🙌

5. How can I cancel my SLURP coffee experience?

Putting the subscription on hold

We recommend simply suspending the subscription, if you still want to continue receiving delicious coffees at a later time, for example after a trip abroad or another longer pause. Please read the instructions on how to do so here.

Please, note that this is not possible for term subscriptions.

Cancelling the subscription

Instead of suspending the subscription, you can also cancel it completely through your own account.

Please note that a cancelled SLURP coffee experience cannot be continued later. Instead you have to customise a new one, when you want to continue receiving Third Wave coffees straight to your home. Cancelling the subscription is not possible for term subscriptions.

  1. Sign in to your own account
  2. and click "Cancel" on the active subscription that you want to end.
Will I still receive coffee after pausing/cancelling my subscription?

After pausing/cancelling the service you might still receive one coffee, if it has already been charged. This final coffee will arrive in the same rhythm as the earlier coffees.

Please, note that pausing or cancelling the subscription is not possible for term subscriptions.

6. How do I get coffee again after a pause?

The subscription is reactivated in your own account.

  1. Sign into your own account
  2. Go to dashboard
  3. Open the subscription which you want to re-activate
  4. Click "Resume" button.

7. When will I be billed for my subscription?

All coffees are roasted only to order. This is the reason why SLURP coffee experience coffees are billed before production. Based on successful payments, the coffees will be roasted uniquely for each customer and sent directly from the roaster, so that they arrive as fresh as possible to you.

Slurp is a prepaid subscription service that allows you to get and enjoy freshly roasted coffees from the best artisan roasters according to your personal preferences. Slurp members are automatically charged periodically depending on the selected shipping interval.

The first billing occurs right away when you purchase the subscription. Subsequent charges are billed every 2 or 4 weeks after the first payment (depending on selected interval). After a successful payment, the coffee will be roasted to order and shipped to you.

You can check your shipping plan, next billing day and invoice amount anytime in your account.

8. When are the SLURP coffee experience coffees delivered?

All coffees are roasted uniquely for each customer and sent directly from the roaster, so that they arrive as fresh as possible to you.

All coffees from Finland are sent from the roasters on Fridays the following week after payment. Average delivery time from Finland to Germany is 4-6 business days.

All coffees from Germany are sent from the roasters on Thursdays the following week after payment. Average delivery time within Germany is 2-3 business days.

All coffees from Japan are sent from the roasters on Fridays the following week after payment. International deliveries will take one more business day to be delivered from Japan.

You will find the exact shipping date for your next coffee in your account.

Does the coffee lose its flavour during shipping?

The aromas and flavour develop still 1–2 weeks after roasting. So actually the coffee arrives to you exactly when the taste is starting to be developed and at its best.

How are the coffees delivered?

Coffees are delivered by Deutche Post and DHL from Germany and DHL and their local partners in different countries from Finland. Coffees from Japan are delivered by Japan Post.

9. How do I open and close a Slurp coffee bag? Why are they plastic?

Slurp's coffee bags are 100% plastic, because at this time it's the best choice in protecting the product from environmental harms (smell, dirt etc.) while having the smallest carbon footprint when considering the whole life cycle in countries where we operate.

How do I open and close the bag?

Slurp's coffee bag is resealable and it has a one-directional valve to let out gas accumulated during roasting and air from the bag.

When opening, use the zipper the handle of which you can locate near the top left corner.

When closing the bag it's recommended to check that the zipper is closed tightly. You can also press any extra air out of the bag using the one-direction valve, so that the coffee stays fresh as long as possible.

10. Can I skip coffees / shipments?

Pausing subscription

  1. Sign into your own account
  2. Go to dashboard
  3. Open the subscription which you want to put on hold.
  4. Click "Pause" button.

After suspending your subscription your subscription won't be charged and no coffee will be sent to roasting.

Please note that any coffees that have already been charged will still be delivered. Subscriptions renew always 14 days before the next delivery.

Pausing the subscription is not possible for term subscriptions.

Re-activating your subscription

Re-activating your subscription is very easy and can be done from your own account with just a single click. Read instructions from here.

11. How much does the Slurp Coffee Experience Germany cost?

The subscription price of the Slurp Coffee Experience depends on the flavour profile and how much coffee you want to order for yourself.

Frequent subscription orders for every two weeks range from 200g to 1 kg and the prices for the orders start at

  • The price of the subscription for 200g 11.99€ (including shipping costs)
  • The price of the subscription for 400g 19.62€ (including shipping costs)
  • The price of the subscription for 600g 28.28€ (including shipping costs)
  • The price of the subscription for 800g 36.84€ (including shipping costs)
  • The price of the subscription for 1 KG 45.41€ (including shipping costs)

The first Subscription is debited immediately after the purchase. The Subsequent renewals payments will happen automatically after 2 or 4 weeks from the previous one depending on your choice.

12. Payment methods

For SLURP Coffee experience we accept the most common credit cards or combination cards (credit/debit).

A combination card (credit/debit) has credit number on the front side written with big numbers. The debit number is on the backside written with small numbers. You can make a normal card payment with debit number as well which means that the money comes straight from your bank account and you won’t get a credit bill.

13. Shipping

Where and how do you deliver the coffees?

We ship all around Germany using DP Warenpost and DHL Paket services. Coffees from Finland to Germany are also delivered via DHL. All coffee shipments are tracked and should be delivered directly either to the mailbox or to the local DHL Packstation or Post Outlet Direct. The price of the shipping within Germany is included in the subscription. The shipping costs from Finland to Germany are 2,75 €.

The Slurp coffee bag and envelope is slim enough to fit into a mailbox. The coffees will be delivered into your mailbox even if you’re not home at the time of delivery.

We use two coffee bag sizes: 200g and 400g. Bigger order sizes are available as multiples of 200g and 400g bags

How long does it take for the coffee to arrive?

The SLURP coffee subscription coffees from Germany are dispatched on every Thursday, based on your order interval. The average arrival time from roaster to the customer within Germany is two days. The SLURP coffees from Finland are dispatched on Fridays and the delivery time to Germany is approximately four business days. Subscription coffees from Japan are shipped on Fridays and the average delivery time to Germany is 5-7 business days.

Shipping Internationally

We ship coffees worldwide. Our coffee bags will have all the proper documents attached for the customs clearance. We do our very best to ensure that the coffee will arrive to you without delays, but occasionally customs regulations can cause small delays. We ask for your understanding.

Internationally all coffees are delivered either by Deutsche Post or DHL and their local partners in different countries. All coffees should arrive straight to the customer’s address since the Slurp coffee bag and envelope are slim enough to fit into a mailbox. We use two coffee bag sizes: 200g and 400g. In the EU the shipping fee for deliveries from Germany starts from 3,99€ for the 200g and 4.99€ for 400g coffee bags. For deliveries from Finland 2,99€ for both 200g and 400g coffee bags. All prices include VAT.

International shipping fee (Outside of EU) from Germany starts from 3,73 € for the 200g and 4.66€ for the 400g coffee bag. From Finland is 4,90 € regardless the size. Bigger order sizes are available as multiples of 200g and 400g bags. All coffee shipment can be tracked.

International deliveries from Japan will be handled by Japan Post. Please note, there is no tracking code available for international deliveries from Japan.

You will see the corresponding shipping fee as soon as you select the country of destination.

14. Referral

Get 7€ off your coffee by inviting your friends to join SLURP!

By recommending our service to a friend, you’ll get a 7€ refund if your friend uses a referral code when purchasing the SLURP coffee experience. Your friend will also get a 7€ refund.

The referral code is simply your own email address which you are using in your SLURP account. The easiest way for your friends to get started is at slurp.coffee, where they can customise their favourite SLURP coffee experience, and finally enter your email as a referral code at checkout by “Referred by a friend?”.

When your friend uses your email address as a referral code, we will refund 7€ to you and your friend.

And the best thing is: You can invite as many friends as you want!

15. Gifts

Our popular SLURP coffee experiences are the perfect gift for coffee lovers. We have two options to choose from: a permanent subscription or a fixed-term subscription to the SLURP Coffee Experience of your choice.

First, configure the coffee experience. In the case of a fixed-term subscription, select the number of coffee deliveries you want to provide as a gift.

Then enter the recipient's contact details at the checkout and order the subscription for him/her.

Please note that each coffee will be invoiced individually and shortly before delivery. Only continuous gift subscriptions are possible to pause or cancel.

The presentee will NOT receive a message from us - it is supposed to be a surprise! However, in the confirmation email you will receive a link to download a gift voucher, which you can print out and enhance with subscription details and a personal greeting.

Changes to temporary subscriptions are possible with restrictions. Please contact our customer service department.

16. Term subscriptions

You can also buy a SLURP Coffee Experience as a fixed-term subscription. Configure the subscription according to your needs and select the number of deliveries you want at the end.

The fixed-term subscription ends automatically after the selected number of deliveries.

Please note that each coffee is billed individually and shortly before delivery. There is no possibility to pause or cancel term subscriptions.

Changes to fixed-term subscriptions are possible with restrictions. Please contact our customer service department.

The coffees featured in the SLURP rare subscription have been carefully curated by Slurp with the assistance of two-time Finnish Barista Champion and specialty coffee consultant Jarno Peräkylä. SLURP rare coffees are sourced and roasted by Alexander Ruas from Standout Coffee in Stockholm, Sweden. Mr Ruas is one of the pioneers of Stockholm’s Third Wave coffee scene and a multiple barista and brewers cup champion. He is also one of the original members of the legendary Drop Coffee.

17. General information about SLURP roast levels

We have five different roast level options in our SLURP coffee experience services: SLURP light, SLURP medium, SLURP medium-dark, SLURP dark and SLURP midnight. The available options depends on services.

SLURP light

You'll like this, if you enjoy fruity and acidic flavours.

Coffees with this roast present light and fresh flavours. Nuances of berries, fruits and citrus. The taste varies from citrusy to fruity and sweet. Lightly brewed some of the varieties can get even tea-like qualities and intoxicating scents.

SLURP medium

This is for you, if you like nuances of nuts, milk chocolate and caramel-like sweetness.

Coffees with this roast share qualities of low acidity and soft and rich flavours. Flavour nuances vary between nutty and milk-chocolaty to brown sugar and ripe fruits.

SLURP medium-dark (available in SLURP organic FI, SLURP decaf FI and SLURP decaf DE)

This is for you, if you like your coffee with rich mouthfeel and a hint of dark chocolate flavor.

Coffees with this roast vary from soft and full-bodied flavours to some more robust and strong flavours.

SLURP dark

If you like that roasty, sweet taste of coffee, this is for you.

Dark chocolate, caramel and soft roastiness. All coffees with dark roast are bold and full-bodied. Typical roasty flavours are dark chocolate, nuts and dark caramel. Aromas of brown sugar, spices and smokiness.

SLURP midnight (only in SLURP original FI)

You'll enjoy this, if you like really dark, even smoky coffee.

Plenty of strength and robustness. Strong roastiness, nuances of dark cocoa and earthy spices. Often also smoky flavours are strongly present. Owing to its strong flavour profile, the coffees with this roast work well also with milk for example as a cafe au lait.

18. Samples

Coffee is a matter of taste. We want to give you the chance to go on a delicious journey to the world of coffee in the form of a sample bag.

Choose the service which interests you the most and get a 30g sample. Not sure which one to try? Don’t worry, that’s why it’s a sample – it’s an easy way to try first and prepare yourself for falling in love with our coffees.

Choose, order and taste. If you love it you can easily continue receiving more of those super tasty coffees according to your preferences. In case you still want to change something, you have the control.

The sample period ends after 21 days and we'll check-in by email so there are no surprises.
