Local smallholders grow heirloom varietals known locally as Kumie, Diga, and Wilsho. The genetic diversity in Ethiopia is loosely grouped into regional denominations for buying – Limu, Djimma, Lekempti, Sidamo, Yirgacheffe, Harar – with coffees recognised as having their own characteristics specific to each area.
With this Ethiopia Sidamo, we at Roger’s Coffee aim to open it’s full potential by roasting it light and gentle. It is a wonderful coffee and is always a pleasure for us to once again get mesmerized by its complex and rich flavours in our quality check tasting sessions!
