Coffee cultivation on the farm dates back to 1958. The farm is managed by James Kariuki. The mineral and red clay soils provide a favourable growing environment for coffee beans at an altitude of just under 2000 metres above sea level. The coffee is extremely balanced and medium acidic. The coffee has a deep berry juiciness. The flavour has acidic notes of orange and citrus and a plummy sweetness, slight tint of liquorice root in the after taste. This coffee should not be enjoyed in a hurry, as the flavours are best appreciated when the cup is cooled.
