SLURP offers in co-operation with artisan roasters delicious and sustainably produced specialty coffees.

All coffees come straight from the roaster to your home. Our service doesn’t bind you to lengthy conracts plus you can make changes anytime.

2. What options can I choose when customising my SLURP coffee experience?

The SLURP coffee experience offers you a chance to discover Third Wave coffees according to your personal preferences, with regular deliveries and always new experiences. All the coffees are roasted by the best roasters in the UK.You get to choose:
  1. The flavour profile (light or medium)
  2. Whether you want whole beans or ground for your particular brewing method (we recommend whole beans for the freshest coffee!)
  3. The brewing method that you'd like the coffee for
  4. The right amount of coffee for you
  5. Shipping intervals of 2 or 4 weeks.

The coffees are delivered straight to your home in our unique and specially designed packaging that fits through your letterbox. Read more about our packaging here.

3. What coffees do you send to SLURP coffee experience subscribers? Do the coffees change?

Where do the coffees come from?

Artisan roasters choose the most interesting and high quality coffees from around the world. These coffees are typically from the latest harvests, which ensures the freshness of the unroasted (green) beans.

Green beans from the best farmers are roasted to perfection in the hands of the artisan roaster, and delivered when the taste is optimal.

What coffees will I receive in SLURP coffee experience?

With a SLURP coffee experience subscription, each shipment will contain a seasonal new, interesting, and definitely delicious coffee from one of our artisan roaster partners directly to your home. We ensure you'll never receive the same coffee in your next shipment. We make sure that the coffees chosen for you are ones that you'll definitely like.

We send you coffees from the UK’s best artisan roasters. Currently, we cooperate with about 5 different coffee roasters.

How do the choices I make on the site affect my subscription?

For example, if you choose the flavour profile SLURP light, take the pre-ground option and filter coffee as your brewing method, you would receive light roasted coffees perfectly ground for filter brewing methods.

If you select SLURP medium as the flavour profile, beans and espresso as the brewing method, you would receive medium espresso optimised roasts as beans.

You may choose from the following flavour profiles:

  • SLURP light
  • SLURP medium

In short, we choose the most interesting and delicious coffees for each shipment. You will receive a new experience with every delivery straight to your home! Exciting!

4. Can I modify my SLURP coffee experience later?

You can edit your order size and the delivery interval at any time in your account. Please make sure that your subscription is active before you make the edits.

If you wish to make further changes to your subscription, please send our customer service team a message. We will be glad to help you in the best way possible! 🙌

5. How can I cancel my SLURP coffee experience?

Putting the subscription on hold

We recommend simply suspending the subscription, if you still want to continue receiving delicious coffees at a later time, for example after a trip abroad or another longer pause. Please read the instructions on how to do so here.

Please, note that this is not possible for term subscriptions.

Cancelling the subscription

Instead of suspending the subscription, you can also cancel it completely through your own account.

Please note that a cancelled SLURP coffee experience cannot be continued later. Instead you have to customise a new one, when you want to continue receiving fresh Third Wave, sustainable coffees straight to your home. Cancelling the subscription is not possible for term subscriptions.

  2. and click "Cancel" on the active subscription that you want to end.
Will I still receive coffee after pausing/cancelling my subscription?

After pausing/cancelling the service you might still receive one coffee, if it has already been charged. This final coffee will arrive in the same rhythm as the earlier coffees.

6. How do I get coffee again after a pause?

The subscription is reactivated in your own account.

  1. Sign into your own account
  2. Go to dashboard
  3. Open the subscription which you want to re-activate
  4. Click the "Resume" button.

7. When will I be billed for my subscription?

All coffees are roasted to order. This is the reason why SLURP coffee experience coffees are billed before roasting and shipping. Based on successful payments, the coffees will be roasted uniquely for each customer and sent directly from the roaster, so that they arrive as fresh as possible to you.

Slurp is a prepaid subscription service that allows you to receive and enjoy freshly roasted coffees from the best artisan roasters according to your personal preferences. Slurp members are automatically charged on a recurring basis, depending on the selected shipping interval.

The first billing occurs right away when you purchase the subscription. Subsequent charges are billed every 2 or 4 weeks after the first payment (depending on selected interval). After a successful payment, the coffee will be roasted to order and shipped to you. You can see your plan, next billing day and price by selecting from My Account.

8. When are the SLURP coffee experience coffees delivered?

All coffees are roasted to order. Coffees are roasted uniquely for each customer and sent directly from the roaster, so that they arrive as fresh as possible to you.

All coffees from the UK are sent from the roasters on Friday the following week, after payment. Average delivery time within the UK is 2-3 business days from dispatch.

The specific shipping date for the next shipment can be found in My Account.

Does the coffee lose its flavour during shipping?

The aromas and flavour still develop 1–2 weeks after roasting. So actually, the coffee arrives exactly when the taste is at its best.

How are the coffees delivered?

Coffees are delivered by Royal Mail and DHL. Abroad our partner is DHL and their local partners in different countries. More detailed information regarding deliveries can be found in 12. Shipping.

9. How do I open and close a Slurp coffee bag? Why are they plastic?

Slurp's coffee bags are 100% plastic, because at this time it's the best choice in protecting the product from environmental harms (smell, dirt etc.) while having the smallest carbon footprint when considering the whole life cycle in countries where we operate.

How do I open and close the bag?

Slurp's coffee bag is resealable and it has a one-directional valve to let out gas accumulated during roasting and air from the bag.

When opening, use the zipper the handle of which you can locate near the top left corner.

When closing the bag it's recommended to check that the zipper is closed tightly. You can also press any extra air out of the bag using the one-direction valve, so that the coffee stays fresh as long as possible.

10. Can I skip coffees / shipments?

Pausing subscription

  1. Sign into your own account
  2. Go to dashboard
  3. Open the subscription which you want to put on hold.
  4. Click "Pause" button.

After suspending your subscription, you won't be charged and no coffee will be sent to you.

Please note that any coffees which have already been charged will still be delivered.

Pausing the subscription is not possible for term subscriptions.

Re-activating your subscription

Re-activating your subscription is very easy and can be done from your own account with just a single click. Read instructions from here.

11. Payment methods

For SLURP Coffee experience we accept the most common credit cards or combination cards (credit/debit).

A combination card (credit/debit) has credit number on the front side written with big numbers. The debit number is on the backside written with small numbers. You can make a normal card payment with debit number as well which means that the money comes straight from your bank account and you won’t get a credit bill.

12. Shipping

Caution: currently we are unable to ship coffees to abroad.

Please note, that there might be some delays in deliveries due to Covid-19.

CoffeesWhere and how do you deliver the coffees?

We ship coffees worldwide. Our coffee bags will have all the proper documents attached for the customs clearance. Most likely, the coffee will arrive without delays, but you should be aware of the customs regulations of your shipping country. Please note, that all foreign shipments will go through customs clarification.

Within the UK, coffees are delivered free of charge, using Royal Mail (or DHL where appropriate). All coffee shipments within the UK are automatically delivered using Royal Mail's 24hr or 48hr standard service and can be posted directly through your letterbox. A tracked service is also available at an additional cost of £1.99 per shipment for the 200g and 400g coffee bags. This option will need to be selected at the checkout.

How long does it take for the coffee to arrive?

The SLURP coffee subscription coffees are dispatched every Friday, Depending on your order interval. SLURP rare coffees are dispatched on Fridays every four weeks.

Average delivery times are in business days:
  • Within United Kingdom: 2-3 (from dispatch)
  • SLURP rare coffees from Sweden to United Kingdom: 5-6 (from dispatch) and from Japan to United Kingdom 8-9 business days

Please note, that coffees and teas might arrive in separate days.

13. Referrals

Get a free bag of coffee by inviting your friends to drink Slurp!

By recommending our service to a friend, you’ll get a refund on your next coffee if your friend uses a referral code when purchasing SLURP coffee experience. Your friend will also get a 50% refund on their first coffee.

Referral code is your own email address you are using in your SLURP account. The easiest way for your friends to get started is at https://www.slurp.coffee/beta/uk/en, where they can customize their favourite SLURP coffee experience, and finally enter your email as a referral code at checkout “Referred by a friend?”.

When your friend uses your email address as a referral code, we will refund your next coffee and give your friend a 50% refund on their first coffee.

You can invite as many friends as you want.

14. Gifts

One of the most wanted products is the SLURP coffee experience as a gift. We have two options available: a continuous subscription or term subscription from your chosen SLURP coffee service. First, you can select all the details for the subscription and in case of term subscription the amount of deliveries you would like to give.

Add the recipient's address details at checkout and subscribe. The gift receiver will not get emails regarding subscription.

Please, notice that all the payments will be charged before each delivery.

Only continuous gift subscriptions are possible to pause or cancel.

15. Term subscriptions

You can also purchase a SLURP coffee experience as a term subscription. First you can select all the details for the subscription and the amount of deliveries you would like to have.

Add your address details at checkout and subscribe.

Please, notice that all the payments will be charged before individual deliveries. The term subscription will end automatically after the chosen amount of deliveries.

There is no possibility to pause or cancel term subscriptions.

SLURP everyday allows you to indulge in the world of speciality coffee on a more modest budget. You’ll receive the best, ethically sourced, honest coffees roasted by top UK artisans at a lower price.

SLURP original UK

SLURP original delivers coffees with more delicate & alluring flavour profiles. You’ll experience exciting, finer cups of coffee from the best roasters in the UK which your family and friends will envy. These coffees will make you want to have another cup.

It's a perfect subscription for both beginners and advanced coffee brewers!

SLURP premium UK

SLURP premium delivers beautiful, super sweet, clean coffees from exclusive lots and sought after producers. These coffees are very high scoring and will alter your perception of coffee altogether.

The coffees featured in the SLURP rare subscription have been carefully curated by Slurp with the assistance of two-time Finnish Barista Champion and specialty coffee consultant Jarno Peräkylä. The focus will be strongly on the newest inventions happening in specialty coffee, not forgetting the old school goldies.

SLURP rare coffees are roasted by the best roasters around the globe. So far, our rare subscribers have been able to enjoy coffees from Japan by Glitch Coffee & Roasters and Golpie Coffee, from Netherlands by Manhattan Coffee Roasters and from Sweden by our long time partner Standout Coffee.

17. General information about SLURP roast levels

We have three roast level options in our SLURP coffee experience services: SLURP light, SLURP medium and SLURP dark. The available options depends on services.

SLURP light

You'll like this, if you enjoy fruity and acidic flavours.

Coffees with this roast present light and fresh flavours. Nuances of berries, fruits and citrus. The taste varies from citrusy to fruity and sweet. Lightly brewed some of the varieties can get even tea-like qualities and intoxicating scents.

SLURP medium

This is for you, if you like nuances of nuts, milk chocolate and caramel-like sweetness.

Coffees with this roast share qualities of low acidity and soft and rich flavours. Flavour nuances vary between nutty and milk-chocolaty to brown sugar and ripe fruits.

SLURP dark

If you like that roasty, sweet taste of coffee, this is for you.

Dark chocolate, caramel and soft roastiness. All coffees with dark roast are bold and full-bodied. Typical roasty flavours are dark chocolate, nuts and dark caramel. Aromas of brown sugar, spices and smokiness.
