Makea Coffee

Roaster: Visa Tuovinen

Our decaffeinated coffee, Pärinätön, has changed the way many coffee drinkers think about decaffeinated coffee. The raw coffee comes from small farmers in Guatemala’s Huehuetenango where we buy our beans, but this version has been decaffeinated using the C02 method. The coffee beans are placed in a soak in liquid carbon dioxide, which separates the caffeine out of the coffee. The process often adds a bit of malt to the coffee’s flavour, which you can also sense in this coffee, with its chocolatey, rich sweetness. The coffee is roasted to Coffee City – roast grade. This medium roast brings out the delicious sweetness and balance in the coffee.
