White tea is made from the more delicate and younger leaves of the tea plant, which are allowed to oxidise naturally. This type of tea is the least processed of all, so it is closest to the natural state of tea and contains more antioxidants. Its name comes from the fine silvery-white fuzz that covers the unopened buds, giving the plant an almost white appearance.
