Costa Rica Hellena Mora
Vits Kaffee GmbH & Co.KG
The micro-mill Agro-Helena is a young project founded in 2015 by Don William Mora Moreno, who invested heavily and took significant risks to establish it. He named the mill after his second daughter, Helena, who at the time was only 20 years old. As a young mother, she supported him in this adventure as much as she could. Today, Helena largely manages the mill herself. Their 45-hectare farm is located in the Tarrazú region at around 1,700 meters above sea level. Helena and her family are highly environmentally conscious. They preserve about 50% of their farm in its natural state to maintain the ecological balance of the land. Instead of using the traditional washed process common in Costa Rica, they focus on anaerobic and natural processing methods, creating truly outstanding coffees.
