A dark roast decaffeinated coffee from the Huila growing region in Colombia. The caffeine has been removed by the EA method. The coffee beans are sorted and steamed for 30 minutes under low pressure, which prepares the coffee for decaffeination by opening up its so-called pores. The coffee is then placed in a solution of water and ethyl acetate. EA is a naturally occurring compound and solvent obtained as a by-product of fermentation. It is ideal for evening coffee because it does not cause any discomfort.
