The first lot of the Gran Palomar coffee arrived in the Helsinki harbour in 2003. This aromatically unique coffee conquered the hearts of Finnish coffee lovers immediately, and for a good reason. Grown high with the traditional methods from the Incas, in the region between the Andes and Amazon, the coffee is harmonious and a combination of rich softness and refined sweetness. Gran Palomar makes even a small coffee moment a pleasure.

Gran Palomar is the result of a project that we started in 2003 with a small group of coffee producers from the central Jungle of Peru. We are proud to have started a long relationships with these producers that goes beyond Direct Trade since we have established a relationship based on trust, mutual grow and loyalty on the difficult times.

Peruvian espresso is not very used in the Nordic of Italian region because of its high acidity. However for us is just a nice challenge to shape the coffee character to espresso. You will find a honey-like swetness and roasted nuts. This is an espresso that is not too complex but full of flavour. Recommended as an relatively intense espresso, cappuccino or latte. We like best served used for flat white.

Taste has a nuance of sweet chocolate, nuts and marzipan.
