From the Indonesian island of Sumatra in the province of Aceh, the coffee is certified organic and is grown by small farmers belonging to the gayo ethnic group. The coffee is processed using the traditional Indonesian half-wash method, where the coffee is dried to 50% moisture content before being transported for final processing. This gives the coffee an intense and full-bodied flavour and aroma.
