This interesting coffee comes from three counties that were part of the former Central Province in Kenya. Usually there are two to four beans in a coffee grind. Due to a mutation in the bean, only one round bean, called peaberry, grows in it. In general, these mutated peaberry beans account for about 5 % of the coffee crop. Peaberry beans are denser than normal beans and tend to have a brighter flavour. This coffee is made from carefully selected peaberry beans. Kenya is famous for its berry and juicy flavours, and this is no exception. You can expect plenty of sweetness, juicy acidity and a creamy mouthfeel.
