This Kenyan coffee comes from the Rungeto Farmers Coop Society. Founded in 1953, the cooperative manages three coffee bean washing stations. The coffee in this batch is made from the harvest of smallholder farmers at Karimikui station. On average, a farmer manages one hectare of land, where, in addition to coffee, vegetables are grown. The coffee bushes grow at an altitude of between 1,700 and 1,900 metres in volcanic and nutrient-rich soil.
